Am I allowed to buy an ASP telescopic baton for collective purposes?

in the uk it is an offence under the vcra (violent crime reduction act) to own even in your private property a collapsable baton. the police wouldnt catch you but if customs catch it one the way in you could be arrested for attemting to import an illegal weapon.
