Is epilepsy hereditary and is there a cure to that?

The risk of an epileptic person's children also having epilepsy is small. If one of the parents has epilepsy, the risk is about 4% for the child to obtain it. If both parents have epilepsy then the risk rises to about 20-30%. There is also no cure to that.
