No more pacifier?????

So my son made it through the night without his paci, should I keep it away from him for good now. He is almost 2!!!! It has been hard. We stayed up till 12am because he would not fall asleep without it. But we made it. =) Should this be so drastic? Should I ween him off? Or just get rid of them?
